So many wasps!

We just got done bragging while we were up in mosquito-ridden northern Minnesota that “We don’t have ANY bugs in Spokane!” I guess that was a bit premature, as Montana located a pretty nasty wasp nest just above our front porch entryway. The good news is that it gave her a chance to don that fancy pink beekeeper’s suit and ERADICATE the problem. Or at least knock it down a few pegs.

I remember we had bad wasps building nests inside of the metal cattle gates a few years ago, but this one was worst because it was in front of our door. We just need to keep our stock of wasp spray and trap bait up-to-date. Some of the harder-core people in the beekeeping community like to refer to wasps as “stinging pollinators”, but I think that’s a little too generous. Wasps must die!
