Adding a new lawn game

As much as I love the idea of horseshoes, it is actually pretty hard to play unless you do it regularly! Plus this year I cannot even FIND our horseshoes for their annual re-paint. Enter the favorite game of outdoor games everywhere, including Green Bluff: cornhole! This simple bean bag-based tossing game fits perfectly within our horseshoe area. A quick paint job with the Red Hawk logo, and it is ready to go for some light pre-Family Dinner night competition.

I am just so thankful that Montana attacked this area when we first moved in. It was originally the foundation for a double-wide trailer, and Montana muscled her way through all of those rocks and bricks, and we were able to shape it into a nice outdoor game area. With the overhead solar party lights and the firepit and garden nearby, it’s a great use of space. And while we don’t have any BEFORE pictures - trust me, it looks a LOT better than when we moved in!

Picked up this vintage newspaper delivery box at an antique show in Couer d’Alene earlier this summer. Perfect for holding the bean bags!
