Garlic & onion (and a few shallots) harvest
With a huge heat wave upon us, we really had to get that garlic and onion patch harvested as soon as possible! The bed was only semi-prepared last year, so the ground was pretty tough and required shovel-digging out each bulb. But they look (and SMELL) pretty good! After digging them out, the first step is brushing them off to remove the dirt and loose leaves. Then we will move them to a drying rack in Montana and Elijah’s basement to cure for awhile. Once cured, Montana is going to try to braid them, which should be fun!
