Not really winter, not yet spring
February is not normally one of those “in-between” seasons - typically it’s still pretty hardcore winter in February — but it sure is this year! We can’t tell if it is still winter or if spring is starting to spring. The air does not yet have the freshness of spring, and the skies are not yet really blue. No trees, grass, blooms, or other plants show many signs of life. Yet it is warm enough that we are doing chores without coats, which we will not complain about. I just saw Montana cruising around with her pruning equipment in hand.
That mild weather also means the chickens are exploring farther and farther from the coop. These girls are hanging around the donkey fence looking for a handout.
