First snow!

We knew it was coming, but I don’t think we knew it would be tonight! November 15th is not at all early to see snow, but it still caught us off guard as we were cozied up in front of the fire watching football (Nebraska game recorded earlier today, our most painful hobby) and football movies (Draft Day, one of my favs). Got up so Steve could make some popcorn, and there it was. Welcome, winter!

I’m just glad we did the chicken run work this morning and that this afternoon I cut off all of the seedheads from the calendula (marigolds) so Montana could save the seeds for next year. This teeny snow probably won’t last, but we love it (we especially love plowing it with Big Red) and hope for LOTS of it this winter!

Evidence that Josie was checking out the snow - her orange lighted collar was left behind.  That greenhouse is going to look awesome when we get some REAL snow.

Serena used to love the snow - she would go out and sit in a foot of it, happy as a clam - but now she seems a little hesitant.

Once we start fires, Steve moves this chair over so Chester and I can be SOOOO close to the heat.
