Tree time!

After decades of (multiple) heavily decorated artificial trees, I really love this Green Bluff chapter where we go to a local farm and choose a fresh tree. It’s a fun activity, just down the road. Each year’s tree is unique, and our giant ceilings mean we can get whatever height tree we want. Plus they barely need to be decorated to look terrific, so no pressure there. And an added bonus - the goats absolutely LOVE to chew them up after the season.

It was a slightly frosty morning, but there was plenty of hot chocolate and space by the bonfire!

The hunt is on!

We strictly adhere to traditional gender roles for this activity - Men & Saws.

Trying a new position for this year’s tree - in front of the sliding glass doors between the kitchen and the woodstove. Also shown: Still a lot of leaves on the apple trees; Serena doing what she does; and Steve ordering up movie tickets for us all to see Wicked this afternoon!
