My favorite flower

I have loved zinnias for as long as I can remember. I have never even tried to grow the more specialized, “fancier” varieties - I just go for the run-of-the-mill “cut-and-come-again” versions. Last years zinnias, despite being the world’s easiest-to-grow flower, were a disaster. They actually were brown and Halloween-like right from the start. This year, thanks to the irrigation+fabric combo, they look terrific. I could plant an entire 40-foot bed in these simple, pretty flowers.

Now I just need to see if I can bring myself to cut some to bring into the house today!

P.S. The bees LOVE them too!
