Morning glories are perfectly named

Well, it is confirmed - morning glories are glorious in the mornings! The flowers are gorgeous. And then by the afternoons all of the blooms are almost fully closed.

This year our morning glories really grew perfectly on our cattle panel trellises. I think the difference is that this year I followed the instructions which recommend you soak the seeds overnight before planting them. So unlike last year’s disappointing showing, this year’s trellises are alive with greenery and color. It takes them a little while to get going, but once they do, they make it all the way to the top of the trellises. So I have put them back on the list for a repeat performance next year (and a little more space for the planting, too!)
