Lighting up the new artwork

We admit that we do have a slight obsession with specialty lighting over paintings. We are not entirely sure where this rather FANCY inclination comes from, but when we brought that duck painting home, we knew it had to be lit.

Steve took advantage of there being an outlet right behing the painting (assumedly from the prior owner’s television) and replaced the standard outlet (as well as another outlet behind the chair) with units that have USB ports. This allows us to to plug in the new over-art light (looks terrific), and it will also enable us to have phone/table plugs by the reading nook (necessary/handy).

I’m always pretty impressed with Steve’s electrical skills, but clearly CeCe is not so much.

Alternate type of outlet that includes USB ports, very modern.

We count on Steve to always measure twice, even when it means borrowing a level from the downstairs neighbors.

Remote-controlled, 1-4 hour timer, no nasty cords - it’s a winner!
