Checking in with the animals

Goats are keeping the back of the pasture (behind the coop) nice and neat. These goats really are so cute.

My new little rolling cart for cleaning the coop - Typically I only clean out the coop twice a year. Steve pulls the tractor bucket up, I put on one of my vintage COVID masks and shovel dirty bedding in madly. Steve tractors it behind the coop to the compost pile, while I sob pathetically. Then repeat. We found this little rolling cart with the large bucket at the farm store, so now I can just take a bin at a time, and it is easy to carry/roll/dump. No more tears!

The back fenceline posts are in - they will lay the wire next week!

Sammie loves to park himself right in front of the chicken gate. We raised that gate just enough that the birds can walk under it, but not the goats (or they would definitely be living in the coop.)
