End of July garden check-in

A few more garden pics before we head out on our big road trip to Nashville to see the cutest babyface in the world (and no, Colton, I’m not talking about you!)

Apparently the heat is going to hit 104 degrees while we are gone, so I hate to see what that will do to our veggies, but we have “pre-watered” them the best we can! Of course, also hope the water system behaves in general.

The morning glories are finally starting to make their way up the trellis.

The honeybees are loving the borage, a useless herb I grow en masse because I love the tiny blue flowers.

The zinnias are starting to bloom. They definitely look better than our attempt last year, where they were brown, almost Halloween-colored, failures right from the start.

Nobody is more surprised than Steve that he actually LOVES zucchini and squash. He sautes it on the grill with a little salt, pepper, and EVOO. These veggies are not only the easiest to grow, but they last a long time and are the one category that all four of us love and will eat every single night.
