Donkeys delivered to their new home down the road
Well, that was not easy! Emotionally, it was a piece of cake. My friend loves mini donkeys, and I was ready to move on. Zero heartburn there.
But physically, oh my goodness! We borrowed my friend’s old beat-up emergency trailer, which worked great. We only had to go around the corner. But getting them in that trailer took all 4 of us to pull, push, prod, entice, and ultimately lift and drag those girls on (and to a slightly lesser extent, off) that trailer. No photographic evidence of the struggle survives - all hands on deck.
But they settled in to their new spread just fine! You can hear them saying hello to their new friends in the video below.
And then we all turned around and used the trailer to pick up Samson, Montana’s first goat, from his (also nearby) home and bring him to ours. Much easier!
