Baby tree farm coming soon

When you find yourselves with 35 baby tree saplings… the kind of tiny trees that even if they manage to survive our desert summers and frigid winters, you realize you will not actually live long enough to see them amount to much of anything…

So we decided to devote three rows of our front field to a Baby Tree Farm area. Today we just did the marking off with lime green flags; hopefully tomorrow we can break out the auger and plant those babies up! Check back in about 15 years for an update.

The Flag Farm

View of the baby tree spot from the loft porch - We will be removing the fence along the driveway this summer.

A gorgeous afternoon, though these fluffy clouds are going to ruin any chance for a repeat Northern Lights show.
