These are the (winter) days!

These are the winter days that we look forward to and that make us love winter so much! Bluest of blue skies, warm temperatures, and snow-covered everything. One thing about these types of days is that you know with certainty that they will not last. But it is a serious boost to the spirit and a promise that spring will (eventually) arrive!

You can see the significant backlog building up in the nesting boxes, with multiple hens rushing each other on. Also note the little black hen laying her egg in her secret spot under the boxes. Now I know at least one of the culprits!
