The bees live! (at least some of them)

Today hit the mid-50’s, and Steve noticed there was activity at the hives along the house! I had checked the hives in January, and I knew at least two were goners. But there was at least some evidence of bees flying around outside all 3 of the hives along the goat fence and house porch. Actually kind of exciting! Montana will have to suit up and check them out to see if they need any extra food while I am gone in Florida. We were really hoping that two would winter over - that would be the perfect number of hives for us. But there is still quite a bit of winter still to go, so we will see!
