Newest addition to our vehicle collection

Steve has been talking about owning a camper van for over 10 years, inspired initially by Aunt Carol and Uncle Jake and recently rekindled by Retirement and Uncle Steve. He has been seriously researching them all year.

While on a Sunday drive to central Washington, we just happened to stop at an RV dealer in Moses Lake to take a look at a few units that Steve had seen online. Three hours later, although it really wasn’t the day’s plan, we own one!

I am lacking in both details and pictures, both of which I will rectify when we actually pick up the fully inspected and cleaned unit in a few weeks. But it is a 2021 Coachman Beyond 22C (22’) Class B RV. Inside it has the full camper kitchen, a mini bathroom (even “wet room”-style shower, though doubtful that would be used), and queen size bed made out of the couch/TV sitting area. Our favorite feature are the screens - a full pulldown screen in the back and a full sliding screen across the side door opening. So much cross-ventilation. These are game changers (unless you are camping in the South, in which case you close all doors and windows and start the A/C!

It has solar with batteries and a generator. Inside it’s about 6’5” tall, so lots of headroom. It has all the usual RV hookups. We will use this (fully connected) in both traditional campgrounds and RV spots, and also (un-connected using solar battery and generator) in various parking lots (Walmarts and Cracker Barrels are super overnight camper-friendly stores.)

We will plan on using it first for our upcoming trip down the Oregon coast later this month. As Steve puts it, “Let the adventures begin!”

Initial quick pics below!

Steve applying the SOLD sign, love it. It is a Ford chassis, so Steve LOVES the way it drives. Has quite a bit of zip, too! The awning along the passenger side is all automatic, another one of my favorite features. Solar panels on top.

I really wanted a white van, but in the used market, you have to accept it's "you get what you get." But luckily I got the white!

This is looking into the vehicle from the side sliding door. The glassed double doors are the bathroom compartment. The front seats are just to the right, the kitchen is to the left (fridge/freezer/microwave on one side; sink/stove/oven/storage on the other.)

This is taken standing in the doorway. The couch electronically lays flat and then connects to the side cushions (and there is also a middle platform/cushion, though a lot of people don't end of setting that up and instead use it more as connected twins.)  We like the plain wood/wall color and know it will decorate up wonderfully. Also nice big windows that slide left-right and blinds that have both the sun shade and full shade options. (There are magnetic window covers for the front/back windows for privacy when parked.)

Standing in front of the couch/bed area looking the other way toward the front windows. It is SUPER comfy to sit in the back as a passenger.

Just a tiny bit of storage in the back (remember that couch slides forward a bit and folds flat.) All of the electric/water/sewer connections are on the outside.

Here is the layout which probably makes a lot more sense than my quickie photos.

Two happy customers!
