Mower woes
I have been mowing the lawn for the vast majority of our married life. I used a push mower on 79th Street in Omaha and various different riding mowers for the acreages. We purchased our current Huskvarna rider when we first moved to Spokane. It was relatively low maintenance for awhile. Then it started occasionally throwing blades at the other house. Then it started occasionally losing a tire now and then. Last year it was a general nightmare, with Steve having to address multiple issues throughout the summer, ultimately culminating in a pretty major overhaul at the end of the season.
So I was optimistic that 2024 would be (or at least start) different, but alas. The beast immediately required blade work, which Steve addressed, and then about 45 minutes into its first mow, it lost a tire. We had to drag the trailer up to bring the frustrating mower back to the shop for repair again.
Montana and I were previously making fun of Steve, predicting that once he is retired and starts taking on the mowing work, he would immediately buy a brand new zero-turn radius power. But I am not laughing anymore - Steve, buy that power!!!
