Good morning, 60!

When you hit one of those BIG, even-decade birthdays, it’s easy to have equally BIG feelings about it.

Sixty? It’s a little shocking (only to me, of course). Time truly flies. Insert slight panic here. Where did the decades go?

Then there’s the excitement of this next chapter. Steve decided last week that he really is retiring before his next birthday. For real. We are both really excited about that, and our Retirement Meter has been moved firmly to DEFCON 3.

And there’s also the excitement of the tradition of “No Chores Birthdays” around here. (I may have invented it, because I have the most chores.) So no bed-making, no coffee-making, no animal-caretaking, what a gift!

And another gift is this morning’s beautiful sunrise. Welcome, 60!
