Finally!

The snow-lovers over here are waking up happy today! We had a some promising snow sprinkles a few days ago, but they were quickly followed by quite a bit of rain, so we didn’t get too excited. This morning is something altogether different. Even though rain is again forecast for tomorrow, we are enjoying the views this morning! I might have to arrange the annual nighttime snowshoe walk for tonight before it starts melting again.

It’s only an inch or two, but we are keeping a close eye on our new shop roof snow guards. They seem to be working so far!

Oh, and I neglected to post this New Year’s Eve picture:

We didn’t have any big plans for NYE beyond movie night, eating Steve’s mandatory Hickory Farms meat/cheese and Lil Smokies. But what we didn’t expect was that Steve would be called in to work a S.C.O.P.E. accident scene. And then while he was there diverting traffic from the fatal hit-and-run accident, another driver careened into Steve’s blockade almost hitting his partner! Needless to say, Steve did not make it home until after midnight. But I made him pose for this picture before he left. (Note how nicely his noisemaker coordinates with his safety vest.)

Here is what Chester and I did while Steve was gone.
